And, we're ready for take off!

I can't believe that tonight when I go to sleep, it's going to be in Italy! Actually, tomorrow night when I go to sleep... tonight I will be sleeping on the plane :) I have a wondrous 17 hours of travel time ahead of me, and I am already more excited than ever to arrive! Right now I am sitting at the gate, ready to go, with some movies downloaded ready to watch and my Italian travel book... plenty of time to start planning out my first few excursions in Italy! I'm thinking Cinque Terre to start things off :) I'm a little nervous about the fact that I won't see all of my family and friends until December, but I am comforted by the thought that when I return I will have new friends to last a lifetime and amazing stories to share. Also, thank heavens for technology. I am already looking forward to my first few Skype sessions when I arrive and to share all of my pictures on Facebook with everybody back home. Well, time to board... So long America, Italy here I come!!!!
